At the beginning of the Year of the Snake, Hong Kong will welcome a highly anticipated event: the "Tea Market" is a time and space influenced by the charm of tea; it is a leisure time attracted by the uniqueness of tea art. ; It is a beautiful place with tea fragrance that makes people linger.
Tea culture has a long history in China, and the development of tea art and tea industry in Hong Kong is flourishing. The history of tea sales can be traced back hundreds of years. Hong Kong has integrated Chinese and Western tea cultures, which have matured over the past century and given rise to a tea culture with Hong Kong characteristics. Tea is a part of people's life, and everyone can enjoy the pleasure brought by tea in different ways. Tea has long become one of Hong Kong's unique cultural industries.
The tea culture exchange event "Enjoy the Tea Market" held for the first time last year brought together a group of Hong Kong stakeholders who love local tea culture and uphold the tea industry. They actively worked together to expand Hong Kong into a tea culture hub. A center for Sino-foreign exchange, promoting the further development of tea culture, tea art creation and tea industry in Hong Kong.
The organizing committee of the Tea Fair is fortunate to receive support and encouragement from all walks of life. Last year, more than 23 units participated in the Tea Fair, attracting 8,000 participants to come and guide. In view of this, the organizers have decided to hold the Tea Fair in 2025. On February 8-9, we continued our efforts and successfully invited 43 units to participate in the second "Enjoy the Tea Market" held at the Jao Tsung-I Academy.
Mr. Mai Putai, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the “Enjoy the Tea Market”, said: “This exhibition is not only a display of tea products, but also an in-depth exchange of tea culture. Tea culture lectures, tea art performances and tea tasting activities were arranged. The organizers also invited well-known tea culture scholars, tea art masters and tea tasting experts to bring the audience one wonderful tea culture feast after another. Through lectures and performances, we can gain a deeper understanding of the history, production process and tasting skills of tea, and experience the unique charm of tea culture.
He continued, "As Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Art has been included in the list of Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage projects, there are six colorful exchanges every day, including Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Art, Nanyang Gongfu Tea, Quanzhou Gongfu Tea, as well as old tea tasting, The secrets of selecting high-quality tea, Zen and tea, etc. In addition, 12 tea art teachers were invited to show everyone the brewing techniques of fine tea, the art of tea tasting, and answer everyone's questions about tea art culture. "
The Tea Market would also like to thank the Jao Tsung-I Academy for its strong support. The Hong Kong tea industry is made up of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Tea Traders Association, various tea associations, Hong Kong old tea houses and famous tea shops, as well as the joint efforts of many tea teachers and tea lovers, plus the efforts of the organizing committees. Only with the Hong Kong public’s attention and support for tea culture can the 2025 Tea Market be successfully held.
